Who is it suitable for?
SkinPen® microneedling is recommended for all skin types, including the most sensitive of skins.
How many treatments is best?
You’ll seen an improvement after one treatment, but the optimal number of treatments depends on the condition you’re seeking to address. Some conditions may require 3 treatments, while others such as scarring require a minimum of 6 treatments. For best value and results, our Skin Programmes combine in-clinic treatments with recommended at-home skincare.
What can I expect after?
Post treatment, your skin may look as though it has sunburn. How long the redness lasts depends on the individual, but most clients see a reduction after 24 to 48 hours. Some dryness, pinpoint bleeding and bruising may also be present, which is entirely normal and will resolve within a few days. Your treatment includes an aftercare take-home kit to soothe, calm and heal the skin.
Does it hurt?
SkinPen® is an intensive treatment that creates incredible results, and for some clients it does come with some discomfort. Topical numbing cream can be applied 15 – 30 minute prior to the treatment.
How long between treatments?
Procedures are usually spaced 4 weeks apart. Clients usually begin to see the initial results within a week of their first procedure. Radiant skin is apparent as the deeper skin continues its natural healing process.

What should I expect after my treatment?
There may be pinpoint bleeding and/or bruising for a couple of days. Within a few days, you will notice a smoother, brighter and more radiant appearance – however, the full effects of the treatment do not appear until several months later.

Does SkinPen® hurt?
It does depend on your individual pain threshold. Some people don’t find it hurst at all, while others can find it uncomfortable. Topical numbing cream can be applied to help counter any pain, but too much numbing can have an impact on achieving optimal results.

Is SkinPen® safe?
Yes, SkinPen® is approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration. The tip of the pen holds a series of tiny surgical steel needles which pierce the skin. The needle cartridge is disposable and individual to each client, and the SkinPen® itself is designed to minimise the risk of contamination.

What is the treatment time and frequency?
SkinPen® microneedling is an intensive 30-minute procedure. Results may become visible after the procedure, however most clients will require multiple treatments for best results. Some conditions may require three treatments while something like acne scarring most likely requires a minimum of 6 treatments.
