The Low Down

Who is it suitable for?

We recommend Laser Red Vein Removal treatment for clients with skin types 1 – 3 who suffer from skin conditions such as broken capillaries, spider veins, cherry angiomas, damaged facial vessels or other facial veins. The treatment is not suitable for darker skin types 5 – 6.

How many treatments is best?

We typically recommend up to three initial skin treatments. Most facial veins and red spots disappear during the course of treatment. Large and stubborn veins may reduce in size and require ongoing maintenance.

For the best value and results, our Skin Packs & Programmes are recommended

What can I expect after?

Some vessels may shrink or disappear altogether during the vein treatment, while others may initially darken before disappearing over the next two weeks. Immediately after the treatment, the treated area will experience mild sensitivity, some warmth and redness which will dissipate over the following 24 – 48 hours. Experiencing dryness in the area that will go on its own may last from 1 - 2 weeks following your treatment

Does it hurt?

Rest assured: Laser Red Vein Removal is only mildly uncomfortable. The concentrated heat from the laser can create a prickly sensation that some people say is uncomfortable but not distressing. Any post-treatment discomfort usually settles within 2 – 4 hours.

How long between treatments?

We recommend 4 – 6 weeks between treatments. Schedule maintenance treatments as new veins and blood vessels appear.

FAQ

01.

What causes broken capillaries and red facial veins?

Good question. There are several causes: excessive scrubbing, exposure to the sun, facial injuries or trauma, consumption of alcohol or spicy foods and using water on your skin that’s too hot may stimulate capillaries to break. Broken capillaries can also be hereditary.

03.

How long does it take for veins to disappear after laser treatment?

Some vessels may shrink or disappear altogether during the treatment, while others may initially darken before disappearing over the next 2 weeks. Large and stubborn veins may reduce in size and require ongoing maintenance. In order to extend the treatment results, we recommend completing an initial course of three treatments to ensure the treated veins are collapsed completely.

02.

How long does Red Vein Removal last?

It depends on the person and their lifestyle. At Amore Beauty & Laser, we highly recommend completing a full course of treatments to completely shut down the vein and extend the results for as long as possible. Some lifestyle factors such as exercise and diet can cause some veins to come back after treatment – so, following this initial course of three treatments, some people return for yearly maintenance, or just as they see any veins appear.

04.

Does vein removal get rid of broken capillaries?

Yes, Our Red Vein Removal works on a range of red veins that may appear on the face, neck and chest, such as spider angiomas (also called spider veins), telangiectasia (also called thread veins) and cherry angiomas, which are less like veins, but more like raised red bumps which are also caused by broken capillaries.
