Phase 1: Intense Depigmentation
In this phase, you will have a single session in clinic where a Dermal Clinician will apply the Cosmelan treatment. Visible pigmentation is improved and the renewal of the skin is stimulated, helping to restore its appearance

These phases of depigmentation include a homecare routine and 2 clinic visits that continues the method of Cosmelan to provide optimum long lasting results

Is cosmelan® suited for all skin types?
Yes. The cosmelan® method has a fast-acting depigmentation and gentle exfoliating effect and can be used on all skin phototypes from dark to fair.
When can I expect to see results?
You will begin to see improvement in your skin from the first or second week after your cosmelan® treatment. Following the provided at-home product application for the continuing 6 months will help you achieve optimal results and prevent the reappearance of spots.
How long does the treatment take?
Amore Beauty and aser cosmelan® Pigmentation Program is a 7-month commitment to your skin! It starts with 4 weeks of skin at-home and one session in clinic preparation, followed by the in-clinic application of the cosmelan® Mask (Peel) – which is a fast and effective 30 minute treatment. This is left on the skin for the required time (8-12 hours, as per skin phototype and instructed by your expert dermal technician) and removed at home. The remaining 6 months of your program is completed mostly within the comfort of your own home – with the exception of your Booster treatments included in your programme.
What should I expect during Cosmelan treatment?
After the Cosmelan depigmentation mask is applied in the clinic, you’ll go home with detailed instructions for how and when to remove it.
Days 1-4 you should expect tight, red and swollen skin. From around Day 5, peeling will start and can last up to 10 days. It’s vital not to rub, pick or exfoliate the skin and to let it peel naturally to reduce the risk of infection or scarring.
How many treatments are required?
Only one round of the cosmelan® Pigmentation Program is required to see dramatic results in the reduction of unwanted pigmentation. Depending on the severity or underlying cause of pigmentation, further treatments can be performed 6-monthly to manage recurrence.
What should I not do before and after Cosmelan?
For the 2 weeks leading up to your Cosmelan treatment, avoid sun exposure, heat and apply sunscreen twice a day. Don’t have any chemical peels, dermal needling or laser procedures, or use any waxing or hair removal products.
After your Cosmelan peel, continue to avoid sun exposure and apply sunscreen twice a day, every day. For the first month, do not have any other treatment or procedure, including facials, microdermabrasion or peels.
While using the Cosmelan 2 homecare program for the 4-5 months following your initial peel, stop use 5 days prior to waxing then restart 3 days post waxing. Threading can safely be done without ceasing Cosmelan 2.
